Melissa Errico's Film Roles

ALBUM RELEASE SUMMARY: Melissa's second album is slated for 2006.  Her debut album was featured on national television on CBS Saturday Morning News "Second Cup Cafe," NBC Weekend Today (July 2003 and April 2004), 2003 and 2004 CBS Late-night US Open Highlights (right after Letterman), The Caroline Rhea Show, and Naked New York (Metro TV); and radio programs such as Imus in the Morning (WFAN), Joey Reynolds (WOR), WNYC (Soundcheck with John Schaeffer; and Jonathan Schwartz), Sirius Satellite (one hour live concert) and WBAI, and previewed on Rosie O'Donnell's show. Melissa has had many sold-out runs at Joe's Pub in NYC throughout 2003, as well as The Cutting Room, and LA's Feinsteins. She played The Barns of Wolf Trap in Vienna VA, and made a triumphant return there in November 2003, and played a sold-out Valentine's Day 2004 concert at The Westport Arts Center in CT. She appeared at 45th GRAMMY AWARDS "SONGS OF THE CITY" with Shawn Colvin, Living Color and The Sugar Hill Gang. She was a soloist with Jeff "Skunk"Baxter on guitar for MUSICARES at UCLA and at the Songwriters Hall of Fame 2003 ceremony in a program with Patti La Belle, Wynonna Judd, Tony Bennett, Van Morrison, Billy Joel and Pink. Joey Reynold's of WOR Radio " I LOVE THIS WOMAN and HER VOICE!!!"  Her 2006 album was previewed in November 2005 with The National Symphony with Marvin Hamlisch.

Concerts

NOVEMBER 2005: NATIONAL SYMPHONY CONDUCTED BY MARVIN HAMLISCH Melissa
was the soloist for three concerts at The Kennedy Center, called "Salute To The Silver Screen" where she sang such screen gems as "Windmills of Your Mind" (from her second album),  "Wind Beneath My Wings" and classics from My Fair Lady, Sound of Music, and The Wizard of  Oz.

WORLDWIDE ORPHANS FOUNDATION hosted by Angelina Jolie, Oct.24, 2005, Melissa sang a program of songs relating to children and family including "Neverland" from Peter Pan.

SONDHEIMS 75th BIRTHDAY SALUTES in 2005 Melissa participated in both New York City extravaganza's in celebration of Sondheim's birthday- both at Symphony Space "Wall to Wall" and the all-star concert at The New Amsterdam; selections from 'Sunday in The Park With George,' as well as Madonna's sultry film song "Sooner or Later."

LA JAZZ CLUB WITH MICHEL LEGRAND  August 2005, Melissa appeared with Michel during his three-night run at Vibrato.

SPRING FEVER AT THE OAK ROOM, NYC: 3 weeks in March- April 2004. With a five-piece band including Clifford Carter (piano), Mike Errico (guitar/ vocals/ percussion), John Mettam (drums), Richard Hammond (bass) and Ira Siegel (guitar), Melissa featured a daring set of original and classic sophisticated rock standards by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison and younger songwriters like Eddi Reader and Mike Errico. BRAVO Songwriters Hall of Fame 2003 Concert- Melissa appeared as a soloist in a program with Van Morrison, Queen, Wynonna Judd, Patti LaBelle, Billy Joel and Jimmy Webb. Fox News story, "Songwriters' Oscars Have a Ball."

BLUE LIKE THAT/ AT JOE'S PUB, NYC Ten sold-out shows throughout 2003 in celebration of the cd release. Featuring Bennett Paster (piano), Mike Errico, Ira Siegel (guitars), John Mettam (drums) and Richard Hammond (bass). With occasional guest appearance by Jonatha Brooke.BLUE LIKE THAT AT FEINSTEIN'S at the Cinegrill in Los Angeles, August 5th and 6th, 2003. Melissa's 5-piece band plus LA guest artists Jeff "Skunk" Baxter on guitar and Alan Pasqua on piano, featuring songs from the album and new material.

THE BARNS OF WOLF TRAP In Vienna, VA: Melissa's first live album performance with her five-piece band on January 11th, 2003. (Read more that special night) ; and a triumphant return on November 8th, 2003.

JOHN F. KENNEDY PROFILE IN COURAGE AWARDS Ceremony The Sixteenth Annual. Headed by Caroline Kennedy, president of the JFK Library Foundation. On May 23rd, 2004, Sima Samar, Paul Muegge and Cindy Watson were celebrated as recipients of this prestigious award for political courage. Melissa sang a 20-minute concert which spontaneously ended in
a duet with Senator Edward Kennedy singing "On The Street Where You Live" !!

KENNEDY CENTER SONDHEIM AT AVERY FISHER On October 21st, 2002. Melissa and Raul Esparza reprised their Dot and George with selections from SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE. Howard Kissell called them "radiant" and Liz Smith said "they brought the house down!"

BRAVE NEW WORLD 2002, at Town Hall In honor of the tragic events of September 11th, the evening offered unique original works by composers and playwrights. FINIANS RAINBOW IN CONCERT June 2, 2003. At the Shubert Theater, an all-star Broadway concert with cast of thousands in support of The Irish Repertory Theater with Denis O'Hare and John Cullum, with Master of Ceremonies Lauren Bacall.

CITY CENTER ENCORES! 10TH ANNIVERSARY BASH November 24-25th, 2002 Melissa reprised her portrayal of Venus in Kurt Weill's "One Touch of Venus." Bruce Weber in The New York Times called her "a rapturous, flirtatious songbird."

BROADWAY BASH 2001 On November 18-19, City Center held its first annual gala event with Vanessa Williams, Melissa Errico, Donna Murphy, Kristin Chenoweth and Karen Ziemba. Rob Fisher conducted The Coffee Club Orchestra, with musical selections from such great writers as Frank Loesser, Bock & Harnick, The Gershwins, Arthur Schwartz, Harold Rome, Richard Rodgers. Songs were chosen from shows that didn't quite hit on Broadway, such as Pardon My English, The Human Comedy, Fifty Million Frenchmen, Fanny, A Family Affair, and Girl Crazy. Real Emotional Girl / Melissa Sings Randy Newman Solo concert, every Monday in May 2000 at Joe's Pub, at the Public Theater. With full band and Jason Robert Brown at piano.

Make Someone Happy/ An Evening at the Yale Repertory Theater A night of the classics including Cole Porter, Jule Styne, Sondheim, Bricusse, Lerner and Loewe and Michel Legrand. Full duet concert with father at piano. May 25, 2001

Life Upon the Wicked Stage / Jerome Kern in Concert Benefit for Los Angeles AIDS Awareness. Four performances as soloist. UCLA Auditorium. March 2-4, 2001

Two concerts in Washington DC Melissa sang for 400,000 people in the grand ceremony for the AIDS quilt in the fall of 1992 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, opening with a solo acappella "Amazing Grace." In 1996 for the televised 25th Anniversary of the Kennedy Center Opera House, Melissa was invited to sing solo on that stage, after having had
dinner at the White House and meeting President Clinton and the First Lady. She was accompanied by the Washington Philharmonic, conducted by Ian Fraser.

The Guild Hall in East Hampton August 2003, Melissa joined Betty Comden in a tribute to Adolph Green. With Stephen Bogardus. In August 2002, Mary Rodgers shared tales of her father's career, and Melissa sang selections such as "If I Loved You," "Glad to be Unhappy" and "Bewitched." In August 2001, Melissa joined Kitty Carlisle Hart (and shared a dressing room) as she reminisced about her husband's great career and collaboration with George Kauffman. Melissa sang selections from the shows they wrote or directed, especially MY FAIR LADY and LADY IN THE DARK. With personal anecdotes setting up each often-obscure song, it was an evening full of Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, the Gershwins, and Irving Berlin. Al Hirschfeld was in the front row, having lent his illustrations of these shows as set pieces and on-stage projections. At the piano was legendary pianist and conductor Peter Howard.
