This classic play by George Bernard Shaw tells the story of a young woman who joins the Salvation Army for its idealistic principles only to learn it is governed by the Capitalism she always rebelled against. Ultimately she learns to teach her gospel to the well-paid happy workers at her father's munitions factory whose "souls are hungry because their bodies are full." She will never again be accused that her converts were "bribed with bread."
