This classic comedy by Oscar Wilde was staged by the Irish Repertory Theater, and starred Nancy Marchand as the imposing Lady Bracknell. While always a satire, mocking pretension and society, it tells the story of two pairs of young lovers and the wonderful discovery of being earnest. It was directed and designed by Tony Walton. (see mentors...) Melissa was nominated for the Drama Desk Award "Best Actress in a Play" for her portrayal of Gwendolyn. See Press.
